One day you will

Posted on 22:52 by Unknown
Well this should have been a fb update rather than a Blog! Have been a fan of Lady Antebellum since the day I heard Need you now. What a song it is! Just pulled me totally into country songs. Not just fantastic music, but amazing lyrics and very easy listening.

Normally I'm not a fan of lyrics - I just listen to the music and the way the songs flow. To me that conveys a lot more. I have always heard One day you will be - but never realized it has such good lyrics.

Take a listen and enjoy the lyrics too! Such positive, up beat, refreshing song!

One Day you will  link from youtube. Couldn't find an official version though. This is from their first album Lady Antebellum.

Gratuity fund!

Posted on 03:47 by Unknown
Typically Gratuity would be payable to an employee if he/she has served at least 5 full years in a company. Most companies deduct about 4.81% of the basic salary towards Gratuity deductions.

So sometimes it makes sense to leave the company after completing 5 years if you are closing in on 5 years!

The value is calculated based on the following formula:

Gratuity payable = (Last drawn basic wage  X  15  X  No. Of years of service)/26

There are quite a few calculators available on line.

is a good one.

AFAIK, up to ten lakhs of Gratuity is tax free. Not sure if things are changing in the new tax code getting implemented from 2012.
